TollTag.ie, partnered with PostPoint and AnPost (the Irish Post Office) distribute 'pay as you go' toll transponders nationwide through major convenience stores and fuel stations plus provide the nationwide system for adding credit to accounts through the Post Office network nationwide.
It is worth noting that today in Europe, 'pay as you go' technology is by far the preferred payment mechanism for consumers in the mobile market. In the US the technology is rapidly gaining market share. This phenomenon can be seen to repeat itself when applied to toll payment.
